We See You: An Angel Message

Dear Ones

We see you. We know who you are. And we wanted to remind you this day that who you are is powerful, beautiful and completely LOVEable. Any other thought or idea you have about yourself that makes you feel less than this is merely an illusion. You are human, yes indeed, and so we honour every emotion that you may feel on your journey through life and have compassion for everything that you experience. But we do not focus on your seeming mistakes or judgements because we know that they are simply learning curves for you to come back to understanding the real TRUTH of your existence as a Divine, perfect soul who is capable of anything – whose LOVE knows no bounds, whose JOY is the reason for being alive right now.

And so we ask you today to take one second to see yourself and others with this knowing. Ask us to show you, to help you with this feeling of LOVE and then you will begin to recognize the choices you have made in coming to Earth and how absolutely wonderful it is for you to be on the planet with the variety it offers you.

It is a time of great change, we know this and we understand that it takes great courage for you to shift your lives in the moment. But please know that we are here to support you with anything you need because as we shared earlier, there is nothing we see other than your greatness and so it is our pleasure to assist you in experiencing this greatness for yourselves. We ask you to ponder these questions, ‘What would you do if you had no fear? What makes your heart sing? What fills you with the most LOVE? Because you ARE LOVE and so when you feel this LOVE you really are feeling exactly who you are and why you are here. So then there no need to concern yourself with if you were doing the ‘right’ thing because the ‘right’ thing is ALWAYS for you to be who you are in all your glory.

These may seem simple questions and answers for you but truly life is and CAN be simple. Going back to basics, so to speak, is what is necessary now. The complications are only created by fear, by your ego, that forgets the truth. And we see so much potential for your growth now and beyond if you keep these questions in your mind. Make decisions from this place in your heart. Act from this place that knows that miracles are not only possible but inevitable when you follow the calling inside of you to be the shiniest, the most vibrant most amazing YOU you can be! Believe us, when we say that we see this YOU all the time. And we celebrate every step you make in the journey to discover the treasures within and all around you.

You really are BEAUTIFUL. So go ahead. Make a choice now to begin to see it for yourself. And then let the world see it. Choose to make the most out of every minute and we’ll be right with you, cheering you on as your biggest fans. We LOVE YOU. We really do.

Thirty Three Things I’ve Learned

For the past couple of years, before my birthday, I’ve written what I’ve learned, or at least been more reminded of in my recent journey. So here we are again. Thirty three has been good to me. Many lessons. Many blessings!

My love to you all.

1) All of us chose the perfect body for our purpose. Including me.

2) That doesn’t mean I’m totally OK with not being able to run and jump around sometimes. And that’s OK, too.

3) I have a book in me. I have several books in me.

4) And they will be shared and supported in perfect timing.

5) When I hear someone’s voice I hear who they are.

6) The Angels never cease to amaze me.

7) People are far more interested in whether you’re willing to truly listen to them than what qualifications you have.

8) Sweetness is sexy.

9) So is sensitivity.

10) Beautiful friendships with open-hearted people can form very quickly.

11) I rarely see some of the most important people in my life and will never complain about technology for being the reason I can communicate with them daily.

12) I absolutely know what true love is because of my friendships. But I’m equally impatient to share it with someone who is more than a friend.

13) Some of the things that terrify people come easily to me.

14) But I am still scared of driving and won’t learn. If you knew my sense of direction and spatial awareness, you’d understand why.

15) I am so not a multi-tasker but that doesn’t mean I can’t do a lot.

16) Life is confusing. And very clear. All at the same time.

17) I find it difficult to resist bread if it’s put in front of me.

18) I always want to resist exercise but am always grateful when I actually do it.

19) I do not like green smoothies or green tea, no matter how much I try them.

20) Whatever I charge for my services, there will always be those who disagree. My value is up to me.

21) A sense of humour is essential.

22) Never assume people know how you feel. If you want them to know, tell them.

23) I am a very emotional person but I am not someone who can cry and still manage to look or sound pretty. If I cry, it’s rarely a tear or two.

24) I need my own space more than I thought.

25) I am both more silly and more shy than most people think.

26) Some days I listen to a song over and over again and it makes me feel better.

27) Music changes people’s lives. Never underestimate it.

28) Or kindness. It costs nothing but could mean everything.

29) We live and die when we are meant to. Even if it makes no sense.

30) Worrying never helps anything.

31) Praying for what you want, as if it’s already here, does.

32) My favourite moments in life are never grand but a little pampering is definitely good for my soul. They don’t call me the Queen for nothing!

33) We are so much more than our circumstances and rising above them is a conscious choice at every moment.

14 Ways To Make 2014 Fabulous!

Are you ready for a brand new year?! I am! Here are some tips from me to help you make 2014 your BEST year yet!!

14 Ways To Make 2014 Fabulous!

Be CLEAR – Be clear about what you want and then ask for it! As the saying goes, if you don’t ask you don’t get. So spend time contemplating your true desires and set your intentions accordingly. When you are clear, miracles are set in motion!

DREAM BIG – You are a powerful manifestor who deserves all the blessings in the world! The only limits are the ones you place on yourself. Your dreams are yours for a reason. So visualize them, believe in them and let go of how they might come true! God and the Angels will handle that!

LISTEN – If prayer and intention is asking, meditation is listening. Take time out of each day, even five minutes, to consciously connect with God, your Angels and your higher self. You needn’t be still or in total silence to do so – if walking or dancing or singing expands your awareness, then do that. But listen – to your inner voice, your gut and to the repetitive, inspiring thoughts you receive. This is your guidance, your connection to an infinite source of Divine wisdom. Trust it!

COMITT TO YOUR DREAMS – It’s important to ask for what you want but if you are not focusing your time and energy on the things that matter to you then you’re giving mixed signals. Say YES to what you want by taking guided action towards it!

ASK FOR HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT – Apart from asking God and the Angels, who are always there to support you, you are also one of seven billion people on the planet, with unique gifts that can assist and make a difference to eachother in many, many different ways. You are not meant to struggle alone. Allow yourself to RECEIVE. When you do, you have even more to give!

TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY – Your body is the reason you can be here on Earth and it is a precious gift. Instead of focusing on shape and size, honour your body by treating it well. Eat and drink healthily and pay attention to anything it needs, including whatever exercise is right for you and plenty of rest. If you feel great, you always look great and shine from the inside out!

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT YOU – You can tell a lot about someone by the friends they have, so be honest with yourself about the company you keep. Are they really true friends? Spend time with people who are happy to celebrate your good times and who are there to comfort you when you’re having one of those days. If these kinds of relationships are something you are manifesting more of in 2014, see the tip below!

BE WHO YOU ARE – You were born to be YOU so trying to be someone other than who youreally are does not work, even if it might seem easier. It may mean saying goodbye to people and situations that no longer resonate with who you are, but when you are unapologetically you, everything flows and any void you may’ve created by letting go, means you can attract the people and situations that are for your highest good!

MAKE PLEASURE A PRIORITY – People pleasing is draining and exhausting and you cannot be the source of anyone else’s happiness. So please yourself! Embrace your sensuality and your passion. Do the things that make you feel excited and wonderful without guilt or hesitation and in turn, you will inspire and uplift others because your passion is your purpose! You are meant to live joyfully!

FORGIVE – Be willing to forgive yourself and others. We all make mistakes and we are all doing the best we can with what we know. Some things may seem easier to forgive than others but remember forgiveness does not mean condoning someone’s actions, or even welcoming them back into your life, it means deciding to let go of the toxins and the pain you are carrying about the situation. You cannot change anyone but yourself. So by forgiving, you are releasing the past and freeing up space for your dreams to come true!

LIGHTEN UP –  Don’t take life too seriously. It is an experience. And never underestimate the power of laughter. It is the best medicine and literally lightens your energy! Watching funny movies or playing games with children are sure ways to make you giggle!

TRY NEW THINGS – Life is full of opportunities and going  to a new place, learning a new skill, or doing something you’ve never done before may mean pushing past your comfort zone but it could end up being the best decision you’ve ever made, or the answer to your prayers. If not, then that’s OK. You can say you did it. But if you don’t take the leap, you’ll never know!

BE GRATEFUL – Taking time to recognize all the blessings already in your life is the quickest way to raise your vibration and lift your mood, therefore opening you up to even more good! No matter what you are going through there is always something to be grateful for. You may even decide to keep a gratitude journal and write three unique things you are thankful for each day. It’s an amazingly simple yet profound practice.

SAY I LOVE YOU – When you say those words and mean it, you change the world. Why? Because love is who you are and when you express that love, when you share it with another, you are acknowledging the Divine truth of All That Is. Especially when you look in the mirror and say ‘I love you!’ You are entirely loved and loveable exactly as you are. Choose, right now, to begin to see the amazing, powerful, beautiful soul that is YOU and 2014 promises to be the best year ever!!!

I’m with you all the way and look forward to sharing more with you this year!

Much love and thank you for being here,
Anna and the Angels

Exchanging Pain for Peace

It’s been an intense few days, I must admit. I’ve not slept very well, because my body has been less than comfortable and the not sleeping has only added to my uncomfortableness. Throw in some nausea and well, you get the picture!

I’ve dealt with various physical challenges and illnesses through my life, and while I am well now, people often assume I must be ‘good at dealing with pain’. I would disagree. I am not good with it at all and quite frankly, don’t want to be. Because it’s not who I am.

However, I have realized that ‘fighting’ my body doesn’t work either. There are a million different ‘why’s’ and ‘how comes’ that I’ve asked myself over the years and the reasons may be apparent sometimes, but not always. When this is the case, whether it be a physical or emotional challenge, it can become easy to slip into  ‘why me?’ but that doesn’t work either. That’s victim-hood and serves no one. That is saying ‘I am the pain. The pain is me.‘ The truth is, life happens and if I take a look around, I am humbly aware that each one of us goes through struggles. Hand on my heart, most days I consider myself incredibly blessed.

And so, in times of pain or difficulty, I do my best to ask myself what I can do, what I do have control over, because no matter the circumstances, I can decide how I react. And anyone who knows me well, knows that sometimes my reactions are downright ugly! Ha! However, after talking to some dear friends of mine today,  I realized that the heaviest weight we can all carry about our circumstances is guilt. The kind that lurks in background and says:

‘I should know better!’ ‘I’ve done so much to help myself, what am I missing?’ ‘I am obviously doing something wrong to still be dealing with this!’ ‘I’m clearly not as spiritual as them if i am dealing with this.’

Believe it or notI once had a so-called friend tell me that until I was free of my wheelchair and walking like everyone else, I would not be in my power! Needless to say, I was not the one who had forgotten her power and our friendship was never the same after that!

Anyway, I digress. Those questions are another form of victimhood and fear. So how ever much we’ve been taught to analyse ourselves, how much good do these lurking thoughts actually do us, other than to further beat ourselves up? None! How much energy could we save by turning our attention away from trying to figure things out and focusing on what nurtures us? A lot! And how much do we believe that we have to suffer to grow or to teach others? How much do we believe that we are so used to suffering that is just part of what we have to deal with? Perhaps far more than we realize…

So today I made the decision to let go. To let go again. Because I can. To interrupt the patterns that keep me bound in my experience and say ‘I exchange all pain for peace’.

Mother Mary and the Angels who so lovingly encircle themselves around me, reminded me of the power of those words and so I share them with you, too. And if you are still in pain, that’s OK. I will not proclaim to feel 100% great either. But I do feel more at peace with whatever is happening and that makes all the difference in the world because it gives me hope and that means anything is possible! Woohoo! I believe in miracles!

I love you and all your challenges. But I see beyond them. I see you. And I choose to see myself in the same light.

Anna

Procrastinating, anyone?

Yes, that’s right – I’ve been doing one of two things very frequently this week. 1) Nothing or 2) Anything to avoid what I’m actually meant to be doing. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that Mercury finished it’s retrograde period a couple of days ago and we’re still in it’s ‘shadow’ before it moves direct once again, or if even that is an excuse for me not to ‘GET A MOVE ON!’ but the last few days have felt ever so sluggish to me. However, I still feel that nagging voice in the back of my head, reminding me that I have several things I really, really need to get done!

Just a few days ago I was feeling deflated and frustrated by ‘things not happening’ and yet, since I’ve had a welcome opportunity come my way, I am the one hesitating about the good I have been given or wondering if I am capable of doing what has been offered! The irony is not lost on me. And it reminds me that I am the only one getting in my own way of what I truly want.

How often do we ask for something and put the brakes on at the same time? How often do we get something and then push it away? How often to do we say ‘If I could just have (fill in the blank) then it would all be great!’ and then blind ourselves to the blessings right in front of us? Whether it be the relationship we want, a career boost, more money. It’s all one and the same. Because while our heart gets ever so excited at the idea, our fear creeps in and says ‘Hey, can I REALLY have what I want?’ ‘Do I really deserve it?’ ‘Who am I to be asking for that?’ And even if none of those feel applicable, a well-disguised whisper  remains: ‘Oh my goodness, my life will change! Is that OK?’

While we’re quick to harp on about our fear of failure, it strikes me that we are often just as daunted by the fact that we truly could have a life beyond our wildest dreams. And while I do so believe that anything is possible and have seen this in my own life many times, I am very aware that in the dawdling, non-committal effort with my to-do list, I am delaying the inevitable. The inevitable TRUTH that I, like all of us, have so much to give, to share, to live and I want to make the most of my time here on the planet! I absolutely know that our purpose here is about so much more than what we do (I was almost housebound with illness through my teens) but I also know that if we are being all that we are, that we very often cannot help but do!

In 2012, we are fortunate to have multitude of ways to express ourselves and our gifts and when we say YES to everything we are, opportunities like the one I have been given this week, are easily shown to us. We just need to get out of our own way and moooooove, because if we wait until we are ‘completely ready’ then, well, I guess we’ll be waiting a long time, eh?

In the words of the very wise, Sheldon Kopp (and you can join me in saying this, if you like):

“I’ve never began any important venture for which I felt adequate prepared”

Now I’ve got that off my chest and my delay tactics in check, I better get going. Radio show tonight and so much to be grateful for!

I’ll write again soon!

Much love and compassion my fellow procrastinators!

Anna

Where is the Love?

I rarely feel the need to comment on politics but sometimes life (in this case, two things I read while scrolling down my News Feed on Facebook) just makes me go ‘Huh? What century do we live in? Where is the Love?!’

As someone who has lived with physical challenges since birth, it particularly rattles me to see that in 2012, talented people are still being ‘turned away’ from something they would like to do because they use a wheelchair. I can understand people’s curiosity and therefore their questioning, but to decide how capable someone else is based on whether they can walk or not, seems completely upside down to me, particularly in the spiritual community where so many proclaim their belief in unconditional love! This example is just one of the reasons I have found myself battling with my own self-acceptance for many years.

As I write these words, I realize that this is the whole point, right? That if we are a reflection of eachother, and are still faced with so much discrimination, then it just shows how much we are all stuck in a very non-accepting place of ourselves. Of course, if I tried to explain that to the person who dismissed my friend or to the crowds who stood outside a U.S. restaurant yesterday in support of ‘traditional marriage’ (as opposed to same sex marriage) they would just roll their eyes. But – and I try to remember this as much as I can myself – how is it possible to be truly happy and peaceful at the same time as holding such strong judgement of other people? It isn’t. And what comes out of someone’s mouth is always about them, whereas how I react is up to me.

So here I go. Here I am judging the judgers. Here I am caught up in a prickly place because these kind of views really upset me. What can I do? I can look to myself. I can breathe and calm down. I can choose to speak my truth and yet not let other people’s fear and pain become the source of mine. I can decide to be kinder to myself and consciously choose peace. And with perfect timing, too. Because in the last week, since I had a very powerful healing session, and then felt the Angels wings around me on Saturday (see my last post) I have been experiencing myself in a whole new way! I am not going to pretend I’ve been jumping up and down with joy, or that everything has changed in seven days but given that this whole year has been hugely transformative for me and I’m constantly feeling ‘new’, I am beginning to see very real evidence that layers of my self judgement are being steadily and surprisingly unravelled: I have looked at myself in the mirror and been proud of what I have seen. I have glanced down at my legs whilst wearing a mini-dress and remarked that they looked ‘nice’. It may not seem like much but for someone who has spent decades fighting the body I chose, it could not be more significant or profound. I am quietly excited at what will happen next and at the far reaching implications that this deeper acceptance will begin to have on the rest of my life.

And so, while I cannot do much about those who still use colour, race, physical ability, sexual preference, (you name it), as reasons to separate us, I can choose to remember all the ways we are the same, how we are all doing the best we can with what we know and that, in truth, despite our best efforts to try and prove otherwise, there is absolutely NOTHING that keeps ANYONE from being divinely perfect, loved and loveable… just as they are… and that includes the person in the mirror.

May there be peace in the world and may it start with me!

With much love,

Anna xxx

A Hundred Thousand Angels

Lucinda Drayton (the voice of ‘Bliss’) has been one of my favourite singers – and people – for many years.

Back in 2001, a friend of mine who was helping me reconnect with my own voice had shared Lucinda’s song A Hundred Thousand Angels with me and it touched me instantly –  and even more so when I heard her sing it live a few months later. As she sang the lyric ‘Do you feel the love that’s falling from my eyes?’ I remember thinking ‘Yes, I do!’

At that time in my life, my interest and experience with the Angels was growing but I still had no idea I could connect with them in the way I do now. That was, until I took Doreen Virtue’s Angel Therapy Practitioner class in 2003. It was a completely life changing week that remains the best decision I have ever made, not least because, as I sat in my hotel room on the second to last day, wondering how on Earth I could thank Doreen for such an amazing time, I decided to pick up the dictaphone I had brought with me and sing her the most appropriate song I could think of – A Hundred Thousand Angels! I had no backing track or instruments with me so I sang as best I could and, before I could talk myself out of sharing it, I handed the cassette to one of the staff and thought nothing else of it.

The next morning, Doreen came to find me. She told me that the song had made her cry and asked me if I could sing it for everyone. I was in shock and terrified at the thought of singing a cappella in front of a hundred and fifty others and wasn’t sure if I could do it, but just before I did, in a moment I will never forget, Doreen knelt down beside me and whispered, ‘Just remember there are a hundred thousand angels around you.’ I can’t recall much of what happened next, because for the first time since I was a tiny child, I closed my eyes and just sang – without any thought of what I sounded like. My only memories are of hitting the high note in the chorus and of all the people crying in the audience as I opened my eyes towards the end. I couldn’t believe it, honestly, nor could I find words to answer Doreen and others who asked me if I had recorded it. All I can say now, is a seed was planted within me that morning and I wondered if I really could touch people with my voice. But perhaps more importantly, I realized that singing was and is a huge part of who I am.

The following year, just before travelling to California for Doreen’s Advanced class, and with Lucinda’s very kind permission, I sat in a little home studio so that I could share the song with my friends and family. As my friend put it at the time, I was ‘like a duck in water’ and the little seed grew into a dream – a dream of recording my own album.

I won’t write the rest of the story now, but needless to say, A Hundred Thousand Angels has a very special place in my heart. Had I not shared it in class, I truly believe my life would be so different now. Doreen saw and heard me in a way that nobody else had before and in that opportunity, and others since, she has always encouraged me to be true to myself and to keep singing, as  has Lucinda. So you can perhaps understand my ‘full circle moment’ in receiving these words in support of me and my CD:

“Anna Taylor is an extraordinary woman who has overcome many obstacles to create her album ‘Already Here’. The songs are heartfelt and her words, like Anna, are full of integrity and strength. This album is the reflection of a very pure soul and is a great start to a wonderful journey.” ~ Lucinda Drayton

‘Why share this now?’, you might ask. Well, because last night (and I’ll get to the point soon, I promise) I had the absolute pleasure of watching Lucinda and her partner and producer, Marcus Cliffe at an intimate and very special gig (it’s going down in history as one of my favourites!). Tears could not help but run down my cheek as I listened, completely captivated and grateful for the moment and for the many memories her music evokes for me, including the ones I’ve shared here.

We all sat in an meditative state for the last half of the show, just allowing the songs and the feelings to flow through us. And flow they did! The energy in the room was palpable and when Lucinda began to sing the penultimate song of the evening, A Hundred Thousand Angels, I felt my already tingling arms change in temperature and my whole body relax. I was indeed being literally enveloped by what I know were Angel wings! It was, with no pun intended, complete bliss and certainly one of the most powerful experiences I’ve had in a long time. Ahhh!

Thank you, Angels. Thank you, Lucinda. Your presence, your love, your reminder of the connections we share in this thing we call life, were as ever, impeccably timed and more meaningful than any words I could write.

May we all remember that there are a hundred thousand Angels by our side tonight and whenever we ask!

My love to you,

Anna xxx

The Beginning of Blogging

Hello Friends,

It’s slightly strange for me to be writing a blog because I’ve never been quite sure of what I’d actually do if I had one… and I’m still not! But for some reason, it feels right to begin now and, as a friend pointed out, I’m very rarely short of something to say! So here I go…

Expect the unexpected’ is my thought for today, because once again I have been reminded of just how important that is – at least for me. How often do we try to control the outcome of a situation or think that something has gone ‘wrong’ because it didn’t quite turn out as we’d hoped? I’ve realized that it’s when we think we know, we get shown that we have no idea! And we may as well let ‘whatever it is’ be ‘whatever it is’. Because ‘whatever it is’, more often than not, works out in ways we could not imagine at the time. Right?

Perhaps that’s the case with this blog, too. And I must say, that though it’s title (like my radio show) is Anna and the Angels, because they are indeed a huge part of my life, I am a human being – surprise, surprise! So while what I post may at times be wise and profound, it may also be far from it! But I do promise you this: what I share will always come from the very real, emotional, often playful, unashamedly wonky places in my heart, giving you a glimpse into life and love as I know it… then.

I look forward to sharing more with you!

Much love,

Anna xxx
